Fissile Material Production Ban
This section covers discussions and negotiations in the CD and elsewhere on a formal agreement to limit or end production of fissile materials and deal with existing stockpiles. Ban on Weapons in Outer Space
This section covers international efforts to prevent the weaponization of space, with particular focus on efforts in the Conference on Disarmament, UN General Assembly, and UN Committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. Three Data and Analysis subsections cover global developments related to spacebased weapons, including national programs, dual-use (civilian-military) technologies, private sector programs, and government-private collaboration. In addition to space-based hardware, these programs may also include sea-, ground-, or air-based facilities that could be used to support space-based weapons systems.
